Mārie (MAH-ree-eh)

A state of tranquility found both in nature and within oneself.

As the sea lies still and untroubled beneath an open sky, so too can the mind find perfect calm.

In Māori understanding, mārie describes the gentle quieting of waters after a storm and the peaceful clarity that settles upon the spirit when turbulent emotions subside.

I took this photo on a day that was nothing short of incredible. the ocean was so calm you couldn't tell where the sea ended or the sky began.

Even in this photo you'll struggle to see the point., they'd become one. The horses and riders were there entirely by chance and the photo really took itself.

This is thus far my favourite photo.
