Te Kōhanga - (Teh KOH-hah-ngah)

This photo shouldn’t have been.

I was heading for a surf first thing in the morning but the beach was cordoned off by a film crew while they did some filming for a tv show.

So, I had to sit and wait.

Not something I do easily, but they fed me and made me a coffee while I waited so it wasn’t all bad.

Before long I got the “All’s clear” call and permission to proceed. I dashed out of the catering tent into the morning light and this was the scene I ran into.

My phone was in my pocket so I just held it up and went “Click”..

This was the first time I ever looked at one of my photos and thought, “That’s a pretty good one!’ Had I not been stopped I’d have run straight past and missed the whole thing. Sometimes hold ups can turn to gold. I spent hour upon hour staring at this photo as I was trying to come up with my life plan and I hope it can bring you a little inspiration too.
